Two Department of Public and Applied Humanities faculty members were recognized with Community Impact Awards on March 26, 2026, at the 2nd Annual Community Impact Symposium. The symposium “is designed to inspire faculty and staff to foster a welcoming and supportive campus community grounded in care, collaboration, and shared purpose.”
Harris Kornstein, Assistant Professor, was recognized with the Disability Research Advancement Award for their work in co-editing an anthology How to Be Disabled in a Pandemic (NYU Press, 2025), which provides “analysis of the experiences of disabled New Yorkers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”
Stephanie Springer, Principal Lecturer and Director of Internships and Career Readiness, was recognized with the Community Impact Faculty Award for her work as a campus-wide thought leader and innovator in the internship and career readiness development space.
