Dr. Harris Kornstein and colleagues recognized with a book award from the British Sociological Association!

Dr. Harris Kornstein and their colleagues have been recognized by the British Sociological Association with the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness Book Prize for their co-edited volume, How to Be Disabled in a Pandemic. OpenSquare, the open-access arm of NYU Press, describes this powerful collection of experiences and perspectives as one that "charts the legacies of this 'mass disabling event' [COVID-19] for uncertain viral futures, exploring the dialectic between disproportionate risk and the creativity of a disability justice response."
