Tom Do is a scholar who explores the intersections of heritage languages, language policy, and race. His forthcoming edited book Racing Translingualism in Composition: Toward a Race-Conscious Translingualism takes an anti-racist approach to envision a race-conscious translingual praxis that interrogates racist language ideologies and practices in order to promote greater linguistic social justice. In addition to this book, he is concurrently working on a monograph that explores Asian-American professors’ experiences of racism in higher education.
