M. André Goodfriend Scholarship for Applied Humanities

The Department of Public & Applied Humanities is honored to offer the M. André Goodfriend Scholarship for Applied Humanities. The Goodfriend Scholarship provides financial support to undergraduates majoring in Applied Humanities. Applications are reviewed by a faculty committee, and the scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and financial need.

Value of Scholarship: $1000
Eligibility: Declared major in Applied Humanities and minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Application deadline: April 1

Awards

The PAH Outstanding Achievement Award

Given to a PAH student with:

  • Strong academic performance;
  • Impressive internship experience;
  • Involvement in extra-curricular and/or service activities;
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to PAH’s vision, mission, and values

Value of Award: $150 (offered in both Fall and Spring semesters)
Eligibility: Declared major in Applied Humanities and minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
Application deadline: October 10 / March 10

The PAH Outstanding Enrichment Award

Given to a PAH student with:

  • Notable evidence of seeking out and participating in transdisciplinary learning experiences;
  • Dedication to enriching life in the community and beyond through public facing projects;
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to PAH’s vision, mission, and values

Value of Award: $150 (offered in both Fall and Spring semesters)
Eligibility: Declared major in Applied Humanities
Application deadline: October 10 / March 10
