Franke Honors College Bachelors of Creative Intelligence and BA in Applied Humanities Dual Degree Arrangements

A national model for 21st-century, career-oriented liberal arts education, the UA BA in Applied Humanities degree program prepares graduates for success across diverse fields through innovative coursework that connects the humanities with industry and community contexts. With 14 emphasis areas, the BA in Applied Humanities provides students with a rigorous and distinctive foundation for both graduate school, including professional pathways in business, law, or medicine, and the world of work.

The following pre-approved course substitutions are in place to assist students in the Franke Honors College in completing the BA in Applied Humanities and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation degrees:

  • HNRS 370, 371, 470, or 479 will substitute for the PAH 420 core requirement of the BA in Applied Humanities.
  • HNRS 270 or 271 will substitute for the PAH 201 core requirement of the BA in Applied Humanities.
  • One additional BCII HNRS course will substitute for the 3-unit core elective requirement of the BA in Applied Humanities.
  • The BA in Applied Humanities minor requirement will be waived.
