A: I got my job through my network. I work in B2B sales, B2C sales, and marketing in the Southern California area.
Q: How did your Applied Humanities major coursework help prepare you or give you unique insight for the “real world” of work?
A: Because of my education, I was able to bridge cultural divides with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Q: What is a benefit you see now in studying your area of emphasis and the Applied Humanities?
A: I learned how people work and how to solve complex problems in business settings. I found that this combination of skills made a lasting impression on colleagues and clients.
Q: With hindsight, what do you appreciate about your Applied Humanities education?
A: I appreciate the emphasis on cross-cultural communication as my skills in this area allowed me to pursue international business deals.
