Rachel Gioannini is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant & Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University. She teaches courses in ornamental horticulture, forestry, hydroponics, introductory plant science, and landscape design. Prior to joining the NMSU faculty, Rachel was owner/designer of a residential landscape design firm in Tucson, AZ and Las Cruces, NM. Rachel received her BFA in Technical Theatre from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and an MFA in Stage Management from the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. Rachel is a member of the American Society for Horticultural Science, the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, and the Native Plant Society of New Mexico.
