Rolf F. Nohr is Professor of Media Aesthetics/Media Culture at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig. He founded in 2003 (together with Britta Neitzel) the game studies working group within the Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft (GfM). He also was project leader of the research projects "Play Strategically. Control Techniques and Strategic Action in Popular Computer Games" (2006 - 2011) and "The Cultural Technology of Business Simulation" (2012 - 2019). He is editor of the book series "Medien'Welten. Braunschweig Publications on Media Culture." From 2013 - 2019 he was member of the graduate school "The Photografic Dispositive" and is an associate member of gamelab.berlin.
