Spring 2025
The Department of Public & Applied Humanities celebrated its 4th annual Bloom, a showcase of student creativity and public engagement across classes and internships. The Spring 2025 event was curated by Professors Jacqueline Barrios, Harris Kornstein, and Jasmine Linabary. The event featured 17 projects representing the work of more than 50 students. Projects ranged from digital photography and time capsules documenting historic water justice advocacy in the Southside, to StoryMaps of public service and campaigns to uplift women’s voices in the Global South. Seven projects were recognized with creative awards by a jury that included Alan and Janet Stein, Angus Leydic, Chantelle Warner, Jen Nichols, and Jonathan Jae-an Crisman.
