Anthony Orlando was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona and is a proud College of Humanities (East Asian Studies) alum. He's dedicated his career to internationally focused public service, most recently serving with the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization. He has strategy and project management expertise at the nexus of social impact, international and local community development, and crisis response.
Before entering government, Anthony was an international social impact consultant in Sub-Saharan Africa, where he worked closely with local communities to help catalyze their full economic capabilities through well-governed private sector investment.
He is a certified mediator in Virginia State's General District Court, and brings the Alternative Dispute Resolution skills of interest-based negotiation, active listening, and clear communication to his work.
Anthony splits his time between Arizona, Washington, DC, and New York. He speaks Mandarin Chinese (learned in part through The U of A's study abroad programs!) and is learning Spanish.
Anthony enjoys bouldering, scuba diving, and goofing around in improv classes.
