Chantelle Warner's research crosses the fields of literary and applied linguistic inquiry and focuses on how language is involved in struggles for social and symbolic power and the educational potential of playful, literary language use and creative multilingualism. Dr. Warner has published on a variety of topics including the role of language study in higher education, play and gaming in foreign language teaching, aesthetic and experiential dimensions of language learning, and literary pragmatics and stylistics. 

She is a founding co-editor of the journal Critical Multilingualism Studies, which is published out of the University of Arizona at cms.arizona.edu.
